Objectives: to enrich pupils’ active vocabulary; to develop pupils’ listening, reading, speaking and writing skills; to develop pupils’ critical thinking; to enrich pupils’ knowledge of the UK.

Materials needed: textbooks, the map of the UK, a laptop, a screen, worksheets, the texts of the song

At the beginning of our lesson let’s remember what we have already learnt about the UK.

  • What is the capital of Great Britain?
  • What parts does the UK consist of?
  • What mountains are situated in Britain?
